Pesinho is a lovely small village nearby Alcaria, in Fundão, situated on the bank of the beautiful river Zêzere.

Pesinho is a rural place, situated in a place blessed by nature, characterized for its typical mountainside houses, and proud of the lovely Parish Church, filled with peace of mind.

The origins of this village are unknown, yet it is thought that the human occupancy of the territory dates from ancient times. In fact, there were discovered in the environs, in the Quinta do Ortigal, vestiges of Roman occupancy of what would have been a Rustic Villa of that period.
